Red Shoes
Red shoes are certainly one of the brighter women's shoes on the market. If you're looking for a way to turn heads, choose red shoes. Red shoes are not only stunning in the right combination but they are also epitome of all that is feminine and alluring about fashion. It is a strong and emotive color that is best known for its strong links to anger, danger, passion, sex and everything else in between. They are usually offered in various shades from dark blood red to bright cherry reds.
For brighter cherry and electric reds, you need to have a strong personality to make it all work together. Generally speaking, they are not for those looking to blend in. Darker shades are almost always easier to match as a general rule. This is true for all colors when it comes to shoes. But a more important question must be brought up when talking about red shoes, what sort of shoes do you go for?
Well there are many varieties available that can make the selection process a bit difficult. But here are some of the more popular ones. Court shoes are essentially heeled footwear that has a few characteristics. They are usually without any adornments such as straps and they are always low cut in front. These days however, designers use the term quite liberally as they usually add their own bits of design to the basic shoe. Regardless of what you think court shoes are, the basic high heel court shoe is a stunning piece of work. It is sexy all on its own and when combined with strong colors like red, is propelled to further heights.
The heels vary in height but to get the most out of this combination you really want to go with high heels or even stilettos. Interestingly, North Americans call them pumps, which are ballerina pumps here.
Wedges are hot this year. More and more people are wearing them and designers have been noticing that. You'll find red wedges in a variety of heel heights and designs as a result. The basic wedge shoe is differentiated from other types of women's footwear by the way the sole is constructed. The sole is made from a single piece (cork, rubber etc) and this helps distribute weight across the entire foot. The advantages of this are obvious. Your feet aren't tortured as bad as they would be in high heels.
Additionally, the added height is welcome to all but the tallest women.
Red flats and ballerina shoes are for those that need the most comfort out of their shoes without sacrificing too much style. Obviously not as attractive as high heels, flats are still quite elegant. These varieties appeal most to very tall women that are not looking for any added height. For more style however, kitten heels are the way to go. They have all the style of high heels minus the height. Traditionally, the heels on kitten heels are always stilettos. If you love the color but aren't looking for heels, then ballerina flats are the way to go.
